How is JEE advance different from JEE main ?


JEE stands for (Joint Entrance Examination or JEE) . There are an engineering entrance exam conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is formed by two separate examinations – JEE Main (JEE Main) and (JEE Advanced). The examinations are based on multiple choice pattern.


JEE Main consists of two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates can also choose one or both papers. Both have multiple choice questions. Paper 1 is for admission to BE / B.Tech course. It is conducted in both online and offline mode. Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses, it is conducted offline only.

 

Unlike EE Edwards, JEE Main has a fixed exam structure and does not change every year. Paper-1 is of three hours duration and consists of thirty-thirty multiple-choice (single-corrected) questions from three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) each. There is negative marking for wrong answers, 4 marks are given for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for wrong answers.


From 2013 to 2016, the marks obtained in the twelfth school board examination provided 40% weightage in decision making in the JEE Main ranks.


From 2017, CBSE made Aadhaar card mandatory for students applying for JEE. Before applying for JEE, students were asked about not having a card so that the students get it made soon.


WHAT IS DIFFRENCE BETWEEN JEE MAIN AND ADVANCED?


Every year on 4th of APRIL 11 lakh applicants took the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main . In which approximately 1.8 LAKHS students give exam Off online . General category students who have scored 115-120 marks in the JEE Main and who are also the top 20 percent in their respective education boards in their board exam for Class 12 are predicted to be among the top 1,50,000 merit list for the JEE Advanced exam 2015.


To give JEE paper use have to score more than 75% in 12 board exam than use gave give jee main in which approximately 15 LAKHS students give JEE MAIN PAPER . This jee main is conducted in 2 papers.

 

Who can give JEE Main?

1. Students passing 11th and 12th Physics, Chemistry, Maths.

2. Students who are studying 12th class me.

3. 12th or equivalent Physics, chemistry, passed students with Maths.


How is JEE Main paper done?

1. JEE Main exam is online.

2. There are a total of 90 questions in this exam, there are 30-30 questions for each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Maths).

3. A total of 360 marks questions are asked in this paper.

4. All questions are objective type, one has to select from 4 answers to a question.

5. 1/4 number of each wrong answer is cut, that is, there is negative marking of wrong answer.


How often can JEE Mains be given?


When you are studying in 12th, then for the next 3 years you can take the JEE Main exam. This exam is taken 2 times every year. In this way you can give this exam up to 6 times.


JEE ADVANCED?


JEE Advance is also an entrance exam for admission in engineering colleges like JEE Main, but there are many differences between Advance and Main. This is the next level of JEE Main. The students involved in this are one lakh fifty thousand students at the top of JEE Main and successful students get admission in colleges like IITs.


Who can give JEE Advance?

1. Student who pass 12th with 75% marks (Gen & OBC: 75%, ST, SC PWD 65%)

2. A student whose rank in JEE Main result is close to 2 lakh. (Only 150000 students can give JEE Advance)

3. Age: A student who is not more than 25 years of age.

4. Any student can give JEE Advance up to a maximum of 2 times / years.


WHAT IS THE PATTERN OF JEE ADVANCED PAPER?


This exam is one of the most difficult exam in the country. It takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to clear this exam. You can pass this exam under the right planning and right guidance.


These examinations done through online medium are of objective type and also have negative marking.


This exam is in 2 part, each paper has Physics, Chemistry, Maths papers.
